What's going on!?

For those of you who know me will know the last news paper I wrote for. MCP Alert. After releasing a very critical news story written by a former MCP player. xXLink2004Xx I was fired from the production team and replaced with some kid going by the name MittyIsHere. I've met the guy behind the scenes. He literally has no chin.



He is quite literally a fatter version of this. Anyways enough with the shade and insults let me explain what's going on and the future of PJR.



What's Going On??

So lets get this out of the way. What's going on is that I, Killer MittStarr have paid for and purchased the former publication known as PJR, or as you know it, Prisoners Journal Review. Though the next several weeks I will be doing updates to this publication to bring it up to the production value to that of what I brought to you guys back on MCP Alert. We will be releasing issues once every week on Wednesday night or Thursday mornings. Just starting out we are not hiring anyone to write stories with us but we may in the future.



What happened to Nator!?

Don't get your titties in a twist. Nator will still be working with PJR over the next several weeks with his own sectional in our news issues and a creative say over the final product. The former production members and board of directions have been fired and will be replaced over the next several weeks. Any questions about this transfer and sale can be brought to myself or Nator.



Interview with a Guard

Starting off our first issue and rebranding of PJR we got a one on one interview with the brand new Guard Mr. Scare.


PJr: Building off our last interview with Miner01 in the last issue, we sit down this time with the brand new C-Guard Mr. Scare. Lets get this big question out of the way right from the get go. What is the biggest difference you have noticed between the transition from prisoner to Guard?

Mr. Scare:Well there a lot less to do, Normaly i would have a lot of tasks to do such as building mining and all However now i just endlesly walk around C and Courtyard. However it not a annoying as i first thought and it cool when your got a large amount of players on.

Pjr: MCP Alert: So now that you are a guard, are you swearing off mining and building? What activities do you take part in now to pass the time?

Mr. Scare: Well at this point i have been building my mega but mainly i been walking around and checking the prison i know it sounds very odd but i time seems to past so fast even tho im doing such basic activites.

Pjr: Now that you have an inside look at the guard faction, do you see some of the issues that players complain about? The power struggle in the guard faction that the older players speak about do you see this yourself or is this just false rumors spread around to cause drama or is there an actual power struggle going on between the higher up guards?

Mr. Scare: I don't see a power strugle at all to be honest, All of the guards at this point in time seem to get along well ish. Allthough the guards Relationships with each other aren't Very stable they all seem to do there job and work together.

Pjr: So no visable power struggle. Glad we could get some inside insight on that issue. Moving on do you feel that a portion of the complaints against the guards are true? Speaking mainly on the older guards, A-Guard and up. Do you agree with some of the complaints against them or are they unfair? Do you feel that the Sr-Guards should listen to these complaints and put their foot down and try to round up the guards to work better with the community or do you feel that having them sit back as they are now the best course of action?

Mr. Scare: I feel like someone times players can overeact on a guards, I guess players think that guards should be these holy guards who never make mistakes but that's not true. If in my opinion a guard does something wrong he is seen as a "Bad Guard" however a lot of the time there not. I think that are Sr-Guards are very good at waht they do. I don't get where this Guards are bad really comes from. My view on Guard is that There not Amazing 10/10 Bes guards there more Good guards who know what there doing and do it well

Pjr: Building off the last question, do you feel that the Sr-Guards should have more of a 'hands on' portion with training new guards? As it stands now new guards only training is with the guard rules and guidelines. Should the Sr-Guards take it upon themselves to train the new guards, with somewhat of a shadow program or is letting these new guards start on the job right away the best route?

Mr. Scare: I mean i really don't think i need traning I haven't made any Mistakes and i fully understand the rules. If i ever have a questions the Sr guards allways told me the awnser. Many of are guards have been here for long time and they understand, Its not like we hire new player who have like 10 hours playtime. When i joined all are guards where helpful and kind but they weren't like to quizing me on the rules.

A Lot of Tea and Crumpets

Miner01, notorious for being a warden through MCP's V6 was demoted early November for being involved with a favoritism scandal is staff again. In the middle of events on the 19th of December players noticed a green tag next to Miner01's Name on Christmas Points and in tab. a green [Dev] could be seen. Miner01 has taken the position of developer and will hopefully help MCP grow in the following months, and not just make tea and crumpets. We wish Miner01 good luck in his future, with pinkies up.

Staff Members Dropping Like Flies

In the past two months alone, MCP has lost 6 staff members, 4 of which being guards. In November, Warden Miner01, Forever Not Guard Dragon1240, B-Guard NAMClub1, and (insert whatever rank he was, doesn't matter he got demoted Zs471 were all demoted. Joining them in the infamous retired staff hall is C-Guard Serrian and Mod Bagel_Thief, both of which being demoted for inactivity. Replacing Serrian_ is one of MCP's top five (maybe ten) British lads, MasterScare, further replacements may include Axeis (Probs Not), stinglikeabeedrill, and pb64! For the empty mod spot, we have a tight race between Dogtag93 and Boysocute, both are infamous players that will one day more than likely end up in MCP's hall of fame.

Christmas Points Update

With Christmas literally just around the corner, with only 9 days left. The competition is now well underway with the Christmas Points.





Boysocute has now taken the lead with a whopping 281 points in total, he currently has a 37 point lead.
Will Boysocute be victorious this year and win first place in the christmas points competition? Only time will tell as this competition heats up - it's been floating around that christmas day will be filled with events hosted by multiple players to try and win first place.

New Segment!

Starting with this issue of MCP Alert, we will be nominating a player into MCP's hall of fame. These players will be picked based off of their history with MCP and the impact they had or are making with MCP. First player to enter the hall of fame, will be the man himself, Silas_Bowen. If it weren't for this maple syrup loving man right here MCP probably wouldn't be around today. Thanks to his dedication and the community's donations, he has allowed MCP to stay up and running for five years.

Miner Breaks Silence!

Recently I have recently sat down with former warden Miner01 for a one on one interview where he has given us inside information on his demotion and the scandal surrounding it.

MCP Alert: First things first. Since your demotion how have you come to cope with once again being a player. What are the major differences you have seen between being a warden and a player.

Miner01: It was an adjustment period, learning how to eat again and running around. I miss never having to eat. And since being a regular player my life has been mostly living up to my name and mining pretty much nonstop.

MCP Alert: Now before we address the big elephant in the room, lets hear from you. When it came time for your demotion what emotions were running through you at the time? Did you feel the demotion was fair, given that other wardens have been seen doing similar things, or do you feel that the demotion was unjust?

Miner01: Sure I was sad, I had been a staff member on MCP for all but about a month of my time on this server. I dont think you are really a true MCP player/staff member until you've either been banned or demoted at least once. Sure other wardens might of done things in the past but each case should be assesed on its own merits. I own up to my mistakes and have taken my demotion well (at least i think so).

MCP Alert: Hitting the interview topic right on the head here. The who scandal surrounding your demotion involving current Mod, LittleLea. Are the accusations true or just something put together in an ill attempt to slander not only your name but the name of one of our Moderators?

Miner01: The whole "lea got miner demoted" thing is outright untrue. The bulk of the reason for my demote was the fact I generally gave out shit to lots of players (regardless of gender, player, rank etc..) Some players were actually very jealous of the attention other players received so went out of their way to try and stop that or just complain/bitch about it. However to say I favoured one person over another is untrue 99% of the time. My demote was my own doing of being "too nice" towards most players. Should I ever be fortunate to become warden again then bad ass miner will be born xD

MCP Alert: I am sure a good portion of the community would like to see you become a warden again. If and when that time comes again is a big "What if" situation. Coming into the final moments of our interview we have one more question. With the direction of MCP and Minecraft in general, what do you see happening in the future. Do you see MCP continuing to grow? And if so a bigger question is how do you think the community could change to help these new players merge better into our little community. I know over the four versions I have been present I've seen different faces of our community. The good, the bad, and hell even the ugly. Do you feel that the current look of our community is good or are there things that you feel should be changed to make more players feel the need to join us?

Miner01: Yes, people have approached me and said they hope i become warden again etc.. but thats ultimately up to Silas if he feels like he needs/wants another warden and if that person could ever be me again or not. Only time will tell.

As for the community, we have recently had quite a lot of new players join but a lot of them join but dont stick around for some reason. If only we could actually reach out to those to find out why they dont stay. The currently community is mostly friendly and welcoming so it shouldnt be that. But the player count towards peak times is definately getting bigger than it has been in recent times so hopefully this is all a good sign.

Getting some pretty solid answers from Miner while giving somewhat of an inside look of his life now as a prisoner once more on the CDGS Network.
