it deters players from gathering resources and playing in the free world
back before the blockshop there were super markets in courtyard plots that players would setup to sell raw materials and building blocks and that was *chefs kiss* beautiful
-> active engagement in free world
-> player-player economy
Yet another example of government destroying industry
