First things first, title guy isn't back yet, expect him back for the normal weekly edition of MCP Alert later on this week.
New Guard!
Between the time of the last bit of stories and now we have some breaking news. Former Baron player, Zs471, has been named our 'new' guard. One of our correspondents reached out to owner Silas_Bowen for comments all he had to say was, "Accepted." Simply inspirational. We have not been able to make contact with Mr. Zs at this time but we all wish him the best in his 'new' position.
Special Tidbits:
For the first time we will be hosting a few special events paid for by our production team!
- A dueling tournament.
- An in-game contest for those who are unable or uninterested in the dueling tournament, and even for those who are.
- Server Photography Challenge.
1. Dueling Tournament
This will take place most likely this Friday or Saturday depending on my schedule. Depending on how many players sign up for this it will be set as 1 on 1 duels or 2 on 2 duels until the last team faces off for the top prize. To Join this tournament all you need to do is comment below you will be joining and adhere to the rules which will be below.
2. In-Game Contest
Taking this idea from CDGS Player, Ravinseye, I will be hiding various items throughout the prison. There will be 5 items in total. Each having it's own unique name. Five prizes in total. This event will be set up sometime Friday night or sometime during Saturday. Again, rules for this event will be added below.
3. Server Photography Challenge.
This challenge will have three winners. The challenge is a simple one. Tomorrow I will create a thread for this challenge specifically. However a quick run down. To participate all you need to do is take pictures of the server that you think are amazing. Much like Cpt_Pandaz MCP Yearbook. The top three photos submitted will receive a prize. You can put in as many photos as you'd like however you can only win once.
Rules:
Dueling Tournament:
1. Must be on time for your duel. If we are doing 2 on 2 matches and you are not active at the time for your duel, you will forfeit the game for both you and your partner.
2. Partners will be chosen at random before the tournament starts should it be needed.
3. Old cards only. Anything added to the game after the Rise of the Dragon Lords, are unable to be used. (Might be changed, not completely sure where we placed the cutoff point on new cards.)
4. Must be in teamspeak. No you don't have to speak but it will allow everything to go much smoother when setting up the duels. If you can't be in teamspeak then we're sorry.
In-Game Contest
1. One Prize per person.
2. Using your alts to attempt to get more prizes will disqualify you completely and the items will be rehidden for another player to find.
3. Prizes will be given out once all of the items are found.
4. Once you've found an item post a picture of it below. Must have the item name, and where you've found it in the screenshot. If found in a container must screenshot from inside the chest.
5. One week deadline, any unfound items will be removed and those found will be rewarded.
Server Photography Challenge.
1. As stated, a new thread will be started for this.
DO NOT POST YOUR PHOTOS HERE.
2. You can post as many photos as you want, however if you plan on doing more than one photo upload and post them all at once. If you have posted your photos but decide to enter a few more feel free to post however do not spam the thread. Doing so will disqualify you from the contest.
3. Take amazing photos of the server! Adding shaders may or may not give you points.
4. Photos can be of anything, player made or staff made which you deem amazing.
Ending:
Anyone and everyone is invited to take part in these events. They are mainly for everyone in the community to enjoy themselves. I may/may not be judging the photos myself, so they will be based off my personal preferences. No matter the outcome of any of these events the hope is for everyone to enjoy themselves, or challenge themselves for those taking part in the photography challenge.
