I was recently informed after playfully asking Silas if I could have Warden rank because I had a full Warden set,that on the 19th of September this year I could have Warden,by the owner of MCP Silas_Bowen. Now I think we all know that it would be very weird for Silas to trust somebody with Warden rank who hasn't been staff for a large amount of time, and the fact that he gave me a specific date struck me as suspicious.
If anyone was in C on the 9th of August you might've seen Silas passing out Sharpness 1 sticks renamed to SoonTM. Now if you've been on MCP for any amount of time you would know that SoonTM is a running joke among the staff and prisoners, and usually indicates the fact that a change, either big or small, is coming sometime in the near future, but not necessarily "Soon". I believe this is referring to the change coming either September 19th or September 20th, the dates I'm supposedly getting Warden. I personally think that what's coming "SoonTM" is a map change.
After a conversation with my good buddy and fellow guard Zs471 in TeamSpeak about if Silas would continue on MCP if Zeedin died, I jokingly messaged Zeedin "Don't die please I like you alive." He responded an hour later saying "I will be back SoonTM for about a month or so and then off to engineering for about 8." For those who don't know, Zeedin is the co-owner of CDGS and has been off for over 18 days on MCP. Perhaps this return will happen around the end of September. Silas later joined my channel on TeamSpeak and I told him what Zeedin had said to me. He said "Really?" and acted surprised that Zeedin would say anything at all about a comeback, and then after starting a sentence he ended it with "I said too much". Of course this got me excited and from what I can tell further pushes my theory of the reset coming in the near future.
Before the most recent reset, bringing us into MCP v5, there was a countdown for about a month hidden in a hyperlink at the bottom of the forums. This hyperlink was hidden in the word "SoonTM". Zs and I jokingly made a post where we changed the text at the bottom of the forums for our own browsers to say "New Map Coming 10-30-2016". Zs and I have of course been talking about what we thought would be coming as Silas has been hyping up this hidden thing for a while now. Silas replied to this post by saying "I was not aware of this but I guess the forums don't lie Kappa (a popular twitch emote to indicate "trolling")." We (Zs471 and I) have been constantly checking for hidden clues on the forums including looking through the code and checking through massive blocks of text. Zs and I are aware of a change that is coming
to CDGS that we cannot talk about, but we don't think this change is what Silas has been hinting at. I've also been told by a trusted friend of an admin that "The Smugglers Code will be revealed in 2 months." At the time I was told that 2 months should bring you right around the end of September, maybe that's the SoonTM event, or maybe it's a final reveal before it's taken away from the new map.
If we go back to the fact that Silas said I could have Warden on Sept. 19th you would think that the rank would get quickly removed, and the only ways I can see that happening without just downright demoting me immediately is if he shuts down the server completely, removes Warden rank, or restarts MCP once again. Not a lot of people know this but something very similar has happened before, to a player called AvolitionGaming. However, the fact that he got "op" and access to most of the commands was just a bit of drunken fun on Silas' part and had to be cleaned up the day after. That being said, I'm sure Silas didn't tell AvolitionGaming a month in advance that he was going to get op that day as the event was just a result of alcohol as far as I'm aware.
As you an see, I've put a bit of thought into this and took the time to write all this out (I'm on a car trip with no internet and just cleaned out my entire laptop, even renamed my Minecraft screenshots). As a guard I'm personally excited about this as the economy in MCP has been flooded for quite a bit, with AldronAran the moderator having had over 30 million dollars for quite a bit now. It'll be fun to be back in the race for the first dragon fight, the first sets of god armour, the first people to be "OP". I'm getting excited just typing about it, but I would also like to know your opinions. Do you think the thing coming "SoonTM" is a map change? If so, how would you feel about a map change, would you continue to play or would you see it as all of your work getting reset? If not, what do you think it is?
