3x Ores Crate Drop Claim
#1
Like the event token or the $5 Donor Credit, add something to the crate that can be a claim to activate 3x ores. Just when the player right clicks it, it will act as if they bought 3x ores.

once we start adding donor things to crates there’d be no point in buying them.  Keep it how it is.

That's a fallacy. You can already get crates and 5 dollar donation credits from crates. They are extremely rare but possible and people still donate for those. I would say you devalue anything worth 5 dollars but it increases the value of crates.

If it was implemented it would have to be even rarer than the five dollar donation credits you can get in crates. What might be a better option is if there was a 10 dollar donation credit in crates. That way you had the freedom to choose what you wanted and perhaps give some more of a reason to buy more crates thus a slight price increase.

It really comes down to the statistics on what is currently selling.

[/quote] Then people will ask for other donor items to be in crates and just make the % lower, no, if you want the donor item on /buy, buy it with real money.  Because I can vote 500 times then do a big crate opening and get a couple items they just pulled out of /buy without doing paying for it.

I would agree with you if it was possible to get perma donor options through crates, but you really can't. An exception would be items that are $5 or less (disguises) and that is due to the already existing donor credit. It's very possible someone has never experienced a 3x ores active on the server and by increasing the frequency those exact players may choose to buy it in the future.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I believe every /buy option should be in crates. Knowing you could achieve something that you wouldn't have to buy just by voting would increase voting immediately. Not saying the probability should be even 1%, but it would more people to vote.

if you put in every /buy option in crates no one would need to donate.  They’d just vote, open a crate, yes it’s a small % but still able to get it.  If you add /buy options to crates, no one would /buy crates when they can just buy the thing off /buy because theirs no guarantee you’re gonna get that.

Let's say the chance of getting perm donor in crates is 0.1% you would need to theoretically open 1000 crates before obtaining it. To get 1000 crates you would need to spend $400 or vote for over a year to achieve that amount of crates. Not to mention the person who donated $400 probably already has all of the /buy options he wants.

Slippery Slope fallacy.

Maybe we should get rid of crates from voting then because you can pay for them instead?

Adding items to crates only makes crates more valuable and could possibly lead people buying more. As long as you make it rare there should be no problem.
