Senior Guard nearly taken to....JAIL!!
An undisclosed source has brought to our attention, that the Senior Guard MasterOvie was close to being arrested this past week. We are talking about a real life jail here, not on the server folks. As the story goes, MasterOvie has a roommate in college, who happens to be big into drugs....According to our source the roommate had 3 rigs, weed, blow torches and even a BB Gun that looks like an actual gun. MasterOvie himself also admitted to having a weapon of his own on campus. When the officer came to their door, for a routine dorm check, Ovie, and his roommate began to panic as they scrambled to hide these illegal items. After hiding everything and letting the officer into the room, all he had to say was that the room smelled off. A rather close call for our Senior Guard. And if Ovie happens to read this think about turning your life around man, we've all hit hard spots in life, no need to turn to a life of crime over small things.
Drug raids coming to the server?
Coming of our last story of drugs, we have also learned that drug raids may be coming to the server sooner or later. We know that the owner of the server is constantly trying to bring new things onto the server to keep it updated and fresh, for old and new players alike. What do you guys think about this being a thing on the server? Would it crack down on drugs while introducing a new feature to counter the drugs, and drug production on the server or would it ruin the drug aspect?
Possible tournament upcoming?
According to the grapevine in the production room here at MCP Alert, it is said that a tournament is in the works. Whether it be based in Starcraft II, Yu-Gi-Oh, or some other game. We will give an update when more details are available.
New Mod and Guards coming to MCP?
In the last edition of MCP Alert we spoke of two demotions. Warden Miner, and Guard Dragon. We have a few sources within the server staff tossing around a few names for both positions however nothing is concrete just yet. A few of the names that have been tossed around for the now open guard position are, Godt9 and Serrian__. Both are good applicants according to close friends of the pair, however do they have the proper discipline for Guard? On the Moderator side of the spectrum not many names have been thrown out there however we do have a few good applicants that could cause quite a stir on the server. We won't name any names currently but we will be sure to keep a close eye on this story as it develops.
New Feature: Fines
Silas_Bowen has brought in a new feature for the server. Introducing Fines. When we reached out to Silas at the press release of this new feature he had this to say:
It seems fines are a logical step to discouraging offenses & deflating the economy in a way classical punishment doesn't. These fines will be implemented on a per case basis and will be an added option for Moderators, Head/Sr Guards, and Wardens.
A logical step it is indeed. As noted they will go on a per case basis, so not all cases will be the same. If you ever feel that you are wrongly fined, don't feel the need or fear that you have to remain silent on the matter. If you feel wronged bring it up to other high level staff or file a staff abuse report in the proper section found here:

While also at the press release we asked Geo how he felt about this feature and had this to say:
I usually mute for extended times when I have to get involved, and that may be enough. As I type this, the fines feel like a last resort thing like if they show no remorse.

We have covered what we found to be the BIG stories of the week and will run a new edition every week on Saturday nights or Early Sunday mornings.
