Good TV Shows

So i was thinking we could all put down some good shows that you love watching with a very short description of them and just talk about why we love them

TV show: The 100
Synopsis: 100 kids are sent to earth 97 years after a nuclear war, they try to survive and make peace with the people already on the ground

Ben 10:  Bratty little 13 year old finds a watch called "Omnitrix" and he can morph into these weird ass aliens with powers.

Courage the Cowardly Dog: A purple dog named Courage lives his with idiot mom and abusive father, I don't even know how to explain it, it's just scary as shit and funny.

The First 48: Murder show where cops have 48 hours to find the killer.  after 48 hours after a murder the suspect is usually in the wind if not caught.

Gravity Falls: A Disney Channel animated show. The plot is two kids Mabel and Dipper go to gruncle Stan’s house for the summer and work at the Mystery Shack. Some weird things begin to happen.
Futurama: A show where In the year 2000 a pizza delivery boy named Fry falls into a cryogenic chamber for 1000 years. In the year 3000 he is released from his capsule and has to adjust to his new life in the future.
LazyTown: No explanation needed

Alright, buckle up. If I'm not on the server I'm probably working on the server with Netflix in the background. This is a list of good shows I've watched over years. Chances are if you like one you'll like most of them as I'm into pretty consistent stuff.

Generally I watch shows with a lot of dialog/reference humor. Here are all the good shows I remember. If you've watched some of these shows you might see where I get ideas for things on the server.

Show #1

The 100

Fairy is right with The 100, first few seasons are really good and unique. Later on it has its flaws but is still a good show. Overall a good modern sci-fi. The specific concept of surviving in space after nuclear war hasn't really been done like this (to my knowledge).

IMDB Rating: 7.8
Silas MDB Rating: 8.5+ for season 1-2 further on is up for debate but still solid.

Fun fact MCP actually has one or two images from The 100. Do you know what ones I'm speaking of?

House of Cards.


House of cards is fantastic if you don't mind paying close attention to what's going on. Its setup & delivery is really satisfying. The show is all about the rise of one dominant yet twisted politician played by Kevin Spacey. Season 5 was a disappointment though but 1-3 are really good.


IMDB Rating: 9.0
Silas MDB Rating: 9.0 definitely stands for this show if it's up your alley. Kevin Spacey deserves a 10/10 throughout. Unfortunately Season 5 was a huge letdown with the direction they took it.

Avatar: The Last Air Bender/The Legend of Korra





Avatar: The Last Air Bender/The Legend of Korra are pretty childish shows but watched them as a kid and are worth the rewatch now and then. The summary is the show in a fantasy world where certain individuals can control certain elements. This show is based on how society revolves around it at a base level, that and some subplot about evil fire Nazis.


IMDB ATLA: A whopping 9.2 which I'd say stands when watching it younger, depending on your humor for younger MCP players it may live up to it. Older it's not quite as enjoyable but is still a solid 9 or so.


IMDB Korra: 8.6 compared to ATLA this is understandable as Korra was hardly woven together. Had some higher peaks than its predecessor in my opinion though.


Silas MBD: Hard to rate due to their nature. Both shows are good and are worth a try.

Show #4:

Breaking Bad

Breaking bad is probably something most people have heard of but it's a great story delivered incredibly well. If you haven't heard of it the show is about a high school teacher who is terminal going off the rails into the world of drug production. I'm pretty sure MCP meth is blue and this show is the reason why.


IMDB Rating: 9.5 which stands strong. All the actors were great but Bryan Cranston was exceptional.
Silas MDB: The 9.5 stands as the show is entertaining and entwining in one.

Attack on Titan





Attack on Titan is good and is pretty much the only "anime" show I've watched. Really intriguing although I've yet to watch the second season. Binged watched it in a day if I recall (only 1 season). The plot is generally everyone is held up behind a world in which Trump had his way to built a wall to keep out man eating monsters.


IMDB Rating: 8.8
Silas MBD Rating: 9.0 this short experience delivered. The 9.0 might not be in general but as far as expectations go for someone who never watched anime it was great. The concept really delivered.

Supernatural



Supernatural is a fantastic horror/comedy/adventure show. The plot is two brothers live in a world in which monsters are real they hunt while just trying to live their lives and help people. It definitely peaked in season 3-5 a long time ago but still has its great moments (They're on season 13 now?).


IMDB Rating: 8.6
Silas MBD Rating: 9.0 for the first few seasons, 8.6 is fair for the average. I wish I could watch this show for the first time. It first aired in 2005 while I was 8 and is the sole reason I hate the shit out of clowns. Seriously screw the clown episode. Lots of other episodes in this show are surprisingly scary for a network TV show.

Star Wars the Clone Wars

Star Wars the clone wars cartoon is a kids show but rarely shows it, it is actually great if you're a fan of Star Wars. Takes place in the prequels for Star Wars in which space clones fight space robots in which dudes with glowsticks sometimes change how things go.


IMDB Rating: 8.0 which is fitting for a normal critic
Silas MBD Rating: 9.5 as a Star Wars fan. 8.66 as a regular viewer

House M.D



House M.D is a great show, its got the cliche medical show stuff but most episodes are pretty entertaining. Hugh Laurie played a dysfunctional cynical bastard that his character alone warrants watching. The general plot is a ingenious with personal problems solves medical cases in the nick of time.


IMDB Rating: 8.8
Silas MDB Rating: 9.5 probably one of my favourite shows just because of how well Hugh Laurie plays his part. Supporting actors are good too for the most part.

Arrested Development




Arrested Development is pretty good comedy wise. Not perfect but has its great moments and is worth the short watch if you're looking for something. The summary is a dysfunctional family which lived the high life has it all come crashing down when they are broke & indited for fraud.


IMDB Rating: 8.9
Silas MDB Rating: 7.8 the show is good and has really funny moments but isn't perfect.[/size]

Parks and Recreation



Parks & Recreation minus the first season is a great lighthearted comedy. It's about a Parks and Rec government branch which basically revolves around the characters many of which are great. Once the show finds its footing it's worth the watch (1st season is poor).

Silas MDB Rating: I'd say the 8.6 stands but the show is pretty great all throughout.

Dexter



Dexter is a show about a psychopath who is a serial killer but only kills criminals. The show is about a psychopath who is a serial killer not a serial killer who is a psychopath. It's very unique and the first few seasons make it worth watching (show deteriorates).

Community





Community is a hilarious must watch comedy based at a community college. Most of the characters are there to simply get in and get out but all make it worth watching. First few seasons are great, unfortunately the show changed network a lot.


IMDB Rating: 8.5
Silas MBD Rating: Solid 9.0+ for the first few seasons the humor is great. Later on it goes down a bit but that's understandable due to actors leaving/network changes.

Madmen is basically the classic 60's summed up from a white males perspective in the advertising world. Pretty fun to watch, has its boring moments but is consistent all the way through.

Silas MBD Rating: This show has a wide range, sometimes it's boring but its peak I'd say 8.9

Archer



Archer is a non serious cartoon about an alcoholic spy with lots of witty dialog. Worth the watch for sure as it really has hilarious moments.

Scrubs



Scrubs is another medical show about goofy interns with a very classic vibe. Lots of funny moments while not really having anything defining.

Silas MDB Rating: 8.5 the non main characters really make this show.

Game of Thrones


Game of Thrones is hard for me to judge. I read the books then watched the show. The books were great and the show is the best copy of book I've ever seen (LOTR level good). Later on I find it becoming a bit to cliche and rushed but that's how it goes. If George RR Martin lives to finish the books I feel they'll be better because of how more paced out they are. If you don't know GoT is politics but people kill each other often.


IMDB Rating: 9.5 this show has reached cult status
Silas MDB Rating: 9.3 very good, the show delivered but we'll see how it ends.
