How to Make a Professional Staff Application
#1
How to make a good application that will get Silas to consider your entry into the ranks:

1.Always title your application [Player Name's { Type of application } Application]

Doing this gives your application a look of officialism, and for some reason that's really turns the Wardens on-- if you know what I mean.

2.Copy and paste this format onto your post.  This also gives the application a sense of officialism, and well, one step closes to making a warden very happy.

What is your IGN?
When can you play on MCP?
What is your timezone?
What is your rank on the server?
Do you have any experience with other prison servers?
Do you have any experience with guarding? Give a list of servers and your guard rank (IP if possible).
Have you read both the guard rules and the prisoner rules, even the ones in the info room?
Why should we pick you to be out next guard?

3.Don't make an application that's literally the size of index finger.  But don't make it super long too, like the size of _Efex's mom's butt (the whole screen).  Keep it about the length of this:

[                                                                                                                                                                  ]

Meaningful Sentences

[                                                                                                                                                                  ]

4.Let's look through the application questionnaire.

There are secrets to making your answers looking 100% more professional.

1)IGN : Just put your in-game name in this box, nothing else.

2)When : Be honest, if you can spend your time 24/7 on the server, say it.  Wardens like active guards.  However, if you can only get on like, one hour a day, state that too, but afterwards, say how that hour will be well spent improving the community or some crap.

3)Timezone : Put your timezone, short form and long. (ex. Eastern Time {EST})

4)Rank :  Put your rank, nothing else.

5)6)  Experience : If you have experience, excellent.  Put how long you served, where you served, and when you served.  If you don't, MCP is a great place to start. -- hint hint that's great to put into the app.

7)Rules : Yes, you've read the rules, but do you understand them 100%?  Wardens want staff who understand the rules so they don't have to constantly refer to the rules page every 10 minutes, plus, you might screw up if you don't and get demoted.  READ THE RULES OVER 7 TIMES. After you do so, explain how you have read the rules, and understand them completely.

8)Why : The most important part, we need a longer paragrapgh.

What Wardens want in staff:

To do more than their job
To do their job efficiently and correctly
To encourage the growth of MCP

Include how if you get the job, you promise to commit your time to do your job efficiently and correctly, how you won't just DO your job, but you'll also encourage the friendliness and growth that MCP (a community server) should have.

Make these parts detailed.  How? Remember these from like grade one?

What; How; Why

USE THEM!! -- It adds a lot of length!

Conclusion:  Add a short and respectable  conclusion to your application that thanks the reader for their time.  Also add your contacts for possible future interviews.

Here is an example application that includes all these tips:

What is your IGN? PointlessBob
When can you play on MCP? Three Hours a day, and I promise to make that time useful.
What is your timezone? Eastern Time {EST}
What is your rank on the server? Baron
Do you have any experience with other prison servers? Yes, I've been on several such as Killion and Bane's.
Do you have any experience with guarding? Give a list of servers and your guard rank (IP if possible).  I have been a guard on MCP two times, A-Guard and C-Guard.
Have you read both the guard rules and the prisoner rules, even the ones in the info room?  I have read the rules multiple times and I understand them completely.  I always try to check on a weekly basis for new rules and changes that may have occurred.
Why should we pick you to be out next guard?
I am the correct choice for the next guard because I can preform my job professionally without problem.  I've gained much experience over the years on several different servers, including yours.  I know how the rules work and how to execute them with ease.  I could be a one of a kind guard for MCP because I love to do more than my job and encourage server growth and strengthen the community.  I will do this by using the time I am on MCP to encourage people online to vote and/or donate, make new friends with my outstanding attitude, and help others out when other ranks are not on.
I really enjoy guarding good community prison servers, such as MCP.  I have a passion for the job and I would invest my time to make MCP a better place.
