You guys should stop joking through writing then. Its different if its not face to face, or on Skype or something. If it is just in writing, its really hard to misinterpret it, and people could take it seriously, and the wrong way and get offended. So, my recommendation, is that if you want to jokingly insult someone, if its going to be in writing, don't make it sarcastic, make it obvious that its a joke. A lot of people could take it the wrong way. The best way to do it would to be just to Skype them, or say it to them when you are face to face, or over a phone call, or FaceTime.
