1. Is your idea logical? For older players yes. For newer players most likely not.
2. Could it be done easily? Yes and no will explain
3. Has something like it been done before? Depends on "before"
4. Has this idea been suggested before? Ideas have been tossed around by players blah blah blah never a thread
Didn't plan on making a thread about this as I generally don't suggest shit lmfao but,

The idea itself is a bit logical, in some aspects it could be hard and others it would be extremely easy. I'm using v3 as this was the version I joined in and was by far the most active I ever seen MCP. However when attempting to do something as old as MCP v3 a lot of changes and re balancing things would take time blah blah blah.
Obviously a new map would not have to be made, using the original v3 map, by far the greatest map I've ever played on not to large or to small but the perfect size, keeping the same courtyard, since I believe it is from v3 anyways, and the B-Block cells are from v3, from what I remember being told. As far as plot wins go you could simply use the same plot wing as we have now along with the warp to the mega plots.
As far as re balancing things goes, as Ovie said in the post above return to the Vanilla enchanting system, as the current system is sure grindy, but many new players can't even repair their picks or items without having to ask a donor to do it for them. The vanilla enchanting system isn't bad except for the fact it doesn't use the full 30 levels as it use to do prior to the 1.8 update. I imagine you would be able to create/find a plugin that replaces the 1.8 enchanting with the old school enchanting system. Armor and weapons such as, Zeedin Armour, Silas armor, Silas Scythe, Jarder, Zeedin power juice, as stated by Ovie, would have to be rebalanced to fit into the old version of v3. The effects such as the large knockback and push back from Zeedin armor and Jarder makes fighting people using those items nearly impossible to win. Silas armor, seemed pretty balanced from when Silas would test it with guards and Found Hope, and generally don't see many people using it, debuffing Zeedin would make Silas armor used a lot more I would imagine, as well as removing the unbreaking from many of the armor types. Considering I've never seen someone use the Zeedin power juice and have no clue on what it does no opinion on it.
The armor and weapons back on v3, usually Prot IV unbreaking III diamond armor, sharp V unbreaking III fire II diamond swords was the "god gear" and now with our current enchanting system and all the flooded create gear like Zeedin, Jarders, Silas Scythes ect nobody cares enough to grind for their items, they either donate for crates, buy crates from other players or play enough events and get the crates through them. Grinding isn't a huge part of the server anymore. In short, revamp the enchanting plugin, use vanilla enchanting, nerf crate items to make players want to grind for better items, and make crates cost more points so their aren't as easy to get.
Factions and pvp was a huge part of v3, like master said factions would use the c foyer to pvp a lot more often then what they did in v4, and what they currently do in v5. Factions is only used to truce other players and join together in a single faction so you don't hurt one another. Raiding was never a huge thing in the part, but factions would bridge out build Enderman farms for good exp farms, and majority of the time other factions would raid them, take it for themselves to use or destroy it completely, meaning there was more chances to create beef between factions and cause for more pvp to decide which was the better faction as most of the gear was easy to get and whoever won, won because either they had more gapples, better skills or because they had an extra member or two.
Understandably, factions is not a huge part of the server considering it is a Prison based server. However again it was a big thing in v3, and still slightly used for faction feuds in v4. Bringing back staff factions such as guards would be something great to. Mod Faction, unable to raid blah blah blah which is understandable. #BringBackNARK. While staff factions might not be exactly useful besides Guards, it is easier to keep track of mods instead of them running around in random factions being accused of showing faction members favoritism ect ect. Adding a world border to the over world and netherworld would mean players would be more into raiding because they would only be in a certain area and players wouldn't have to travel for ages to find a single base with basically nothing inside.
Blah blah blah there could be more added to this I know but other older players can add insight they feel that could make this work ect.

Those were just a few things that made this server more OP, what kind of prison has it where the prisoners are more powerful then guards? none. Yes we have to give credit where credit is due to Silas and Zeedin making " balance ", but if you remember in V1-V3 we didn't have this random extra curricular shit. Prisoners fought guards in P4 Unb3 Diamond that they actually had to work to get. Even in the armor back in V1-V3 anyone could win a 1v1 but now it's impossible. the guards get slaughtered without a fight. Only a few remember but in the old days we actually had factions fighting each other and guards had to get involved and it was actually fun because each faction wanted to make the other faction weaker. Now, it's the old and rich players killing lower ranks to show power, and us guards can't do shit to stop it. If we just got rid of everything that makes this server some what OP, and bring in normal enchanting with normal armor with normal weapons, i could almost guarantee we would get more players to join and stay. Something needs to change or i fear we will become an OP server ourselves even if you guys don't think so or don't want to believe it.
