Trade rooms because everyone goes to /events to trade but sometimes isn't safe. So I was wondering trade rooms where you and another person go in and step on pressure plates to close the door then do the trading / selling.

These are easily bypassable. We may implement some proper trading system in the future. Scamming is also bannable so it's not like it's a problem.

Maybe something like /trade [name] so there is no clear lag issues either.

Why not use the safe smelt rooms? They have a pressure plate that closes the doors like you suggest. Also if you don't want to throw the item you can place it in a furnace.
