Some new weapon with a really good ability, but takes 5 or so emeralds to use.

Some new armor that only gives special buffs if you have emeralds in your inventory, it consumes 1 emerald per minute or maybe more.

Since emeralds are pretty expensive it would even out to have the weapon/armor fairly strong comparatively to the other special sets. Call it Mr. Monopoly's suit and Mr. Monopoly's cane.
