We use this because we have full control over it and don't have to depend on a third party to host and moderate it hence why we stopped using The Minecraft forums. Also this way we can tailor things to fit our needs and if there is something we don't like we can fix it or change it just like that.
*If I can write the CDGS website and setup the forums I am more than capable of making a dumb Facebook page.
