These are a few suggestions I've thought of:
1. Enable the ability to craft Banners/Slimeblocks. In the update to 1.8 we all know the ability to craft slime blocks and banners was added. Now while they are disabled on the server I believe they should be able to be made and used/placed only outside of the prison region a.k.a the wild.
2. Enable Armor stands: For some unknown reason armor stands was disabled as well in the 1.8 update. If they cause lag why not allow them to be made but limited on plots? If not used in prison make them useable outside in the wild.
3. If none of these things are made craftable/useable, let people buy an x amount of them within the buycraft store.
4. Make an event based out of slime blocks. Something like a slime block launch pad game where you compete to land on the slime blocks and if you miss you are out. Much like sky dive except you want to land on the blocks.
