Checkers is broken

What is the bug: Players are not allowed to edit the blocks on the checkers board.
Where is this bug located: The tavern.
How can we recreate it: Try to move a checker piece.

There is a reason it is denied. People were farming the slabs and pickaxes and breaking the wool every time somebody would place it. This is why we can't have nice things.
