Miner Set New Ability

My idea is for the miner set to have another new ability.  I think that the set could have something that auto smelts gold and iron.
1. Is your idea logical? Yes
2. Could it be done easily? Yes I believe so
3. Has something like it been done before? I have seen this on other servers
4. Has this idea been suggested before? No I haven't seen it
I'd love to hear other's thoughts on this.
