with block party, you really shouldn't be given food, and for bullrush, three pork is enough

The only reason I suggested it is because I was against Silas in lava and I ran out of pork meaning sprint died and well three just isn't enough for that mini game

anyhow; that's part of the game. otherwise, the game could potentially go on forever. Think of that as a way to nerf the players at the end
