Armor, regardless, reverts to Protection 4 when worn - lEfex - Jan 5th, 2018
What is the bug: Whenever one puts on an armor piece that has more than protection 4, it reverts to protection 4. This happened with a pair of Bruni leggings, and a full set of miner armor.
Where is this bug located: It is omnipresent.
How can we recreate it: Wearing a piece of any special armor.

edit: miner reverted to protection 5, maybe it is meant to be like this but I doubt it.

This is intentional, in fact it was a bug that armour with more than Prot 5 was dropping in the first place.
