I think you should be able to buy 1 shard of which ever one you want for 10-20 points on /ps so for people that cant get all the shards but have points can buy them.

That'd be cool, if you're lazy. The purpose of shards is to actually go kill each mob, from a spawner or through natural spawning. Even if the point cost would be high to make it considerable I wouldn't place this into the game. Sorry.
