Couple of suggestions - zs471 - Feb 16th, 2014 I have noticed recently a couple of minor problems that could lead to much bigger problems. 1. There is a lot of money floating around the server more than a healthy amount 2. Some people like myself and a few others have more than one plot I personally even have four currently. This stops newer players from buying them when they are ready. I also have some solutions to these problems. 1. I know someone suggested taxes before but, let me expand a little bit on it. The server could impose property tax. Property tax comes by once over 24 hours ( or whenever silas wants to it ) for each of your plots. Depending on where your plot is the tax is higher or lower. Example: A plot in the wings is 1000 per day while a Main courtyard plot is 5000 per day. ( or whatever silas wants it to be ) If you miss your taxes once you get a warning/strike and a second time you lose the plot. The taxes would be auto taken from your balance so, you do not have to be online for it to happen. I know there is a plugin somewhere for this or you could make one. Also if you don't like the one strike idea you can not use it. 2. This gears more to the excess of money in the server. The server could set up a sort of lottery. There are many different lottery plugins you could look into and build one yourself. Here are some things I have seen lottery plugins do: - People buy tickets for x dollars, winner gets 85% of total pot - Server creates item, example: 16 dia blocks, people buy tickets, winner randomly chosen - There is also a plugin that makes slot machines which is really fun. For the simple fact that people don't go mining for money all the time because they don't wish for the money unless they need it to buy something. And having to pay for a plot is bad because you can pay for a cell and increase the time on it for as long as you have the money on it, the plots are bought for ridiculous amounts so you are paying to own it. Re: Couple of suggestions - summonhalo - Feb 16th, 2014 you know it's supposed to be illegal for kids under the age of 18 in utah to gamble even if it is online, but anyways it would be fun as with the property tax, lolno, theres a reason why cells do that, and plots don't, plots cost a lot of money to start with, this meaning that the plots are all used up, plots are more valuable, therefore fixing the money problem Re: Couple of suggestions - LaughNgamez - Feb 16th, 2014 Not likely to the plot tax, no to the lottery. We may however enforce the 1 plot rule soon.
